Leighton Doing What Leighton Does Best: Lock-ing Lovely!

Dang, Leighton Meester has good hair.

Dang, Leighton Meester has good hair. It's not surprising that she got snapped up by a hair brand. But what we loved is that she used it anyway. Before she 'had' to. LOVE that shiz. We spotted these shots of her at a Herbal Essences photocall in Spain yesterday and had to share. Those big bouncy bottom curls mixed with that espresso smoky eye. That tonged tousle and brilliant bounce is signature Meester and always seemed a little out of reach for those of us who didn't have Charles Baker Strahan (her stylist) on speed dial. But not anymore thanks to the just-launched Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Range. I am a mad fan of Herbal Essences. Or 'Erbal Essences as Leighton calls it. Cute. And unlike the other ranges, this one's all about the styling. Sure there's the Tousle Me Softly Shampoo & Conditioner ($5.99) — infused with wild violet and pomegrante; yum — but there's also a Spray Gel, Mousse and Hairspray which are all just $6.99 each. Bargain. Now you really CAN have Leighton's hair.

A Hairstyle That Works Whatever the Weather

I am really not feeling this weather right now.

I am really not feeling this weather right now. One day it's humidity that Dubai would be proud of, next torrential rain. As well as causing all of kinds of wardrobe problems, it messes with my mane. And that does NOT make for a happy lady. But I think I've found the solution. Well Gemma Arterton's found the solution for me. Diamond. Thanks, Gem. We kind of touched on her wet-look, high bun yesterday when we were talking about Alexa D (not to be confused with Alexa C) but I've decided that it deserves a full-blown post due to its flexibility to work whatever the weather. The Style.com girls agree which proves that I'm a) not the only one to feel so strongly about high buns (no restraining order necessary), b) Gemma Arterton really is one to watch and c) you're way too chic to let the elements get all up in your business. Put them back in their place pronto with this style. Make it happen with Paul Mitchell Soft Sculpting Spray Gel (18.95) and Frédéric Fekkai Glossing Sheer Shine Mist ($45). Easy. Whaddya think?

Love It or Hate It? Victoria Beckham's Up 'Do

There's something about Victoria Beckham that always seems a little try hard.

There's something about Victoria Beckham that always seems a little try hard. Don't get me wrong, I am a big Posh fan. Huge in fact. But even I can see that she's polished and groomed to the point of insanity. Though, more often than not, it pays off.

Case in point: The 2009 British Fashion Awards where she displayed this work of art aka her hair.

I just love it. (And would also love to know how long it took to create and just how much spray gel is slicking it into place.) I don't know how anyone concentrated on the awards; I find the intricacies of this creation far more interesting. Perhaps Fab would disagree though.

But what do you think? A tad too much? Or do you love it as much as me? Do tell.
