We're less than 24 hours away from the race that stops a nation so what better time to take a trip down memory lane and check out the stars' beauty looks from Melbourne Cup over the years. We're going back to 2004 with Jennifer Hawkins, Kate Ritchie and co. and it's interesting to see how the fashions have changed. Blush and feathers were big in 2005 but last year it was more about statement headpieces that made the A-listers stand out from the crowds. Take a look through the gallery and tell if you've been inspired and what you'll be wearing this year!

We're seeing au revoir to the 2011 Spring Racing Season (can you believe it's over already?) with a celeb-filled wrap up of Saturday's Emirates Stakes Days shenanigans. The well-heeled crowd took the traditional red rose as their sartorial inspiration, frocking up in all shades of scarlet at Flemington Racecourse. 2011 Crown Oaks Day: Best of the Rest Round Up!
Ladies day delivered a slew of super femme looks at Flemington today in Melbourne, with celebrities keeping (for the most part) to the feminine dress code, as suggested by our racing guru Emma Freedman. SJP wowed us with her pretty prom dress, as did trackside stars Jennifer Hawkins and Rebecca Judd who frocked up in Toni Maticevski and Fleur Wood respectively. We also saw icon of the '80s Joan Collins in her signature puffed sleeves, Ruby Rose who opted for a ghoulish lace headpiece and the always dapper Kris Smith who suited up courtesy of Dom Bagnato. 2011 Crown Oaks Day: Ruby Rose

Ruby Rose chose to push the envelope at Oaks Day today, teaming her lust-worthy Miu Miu lace ups and oversized clutch with a lace applique skull headpeice. The Day of the Dead inspired topper toughen up her detailed teal frock, as did her twisted chain necklace. What's your call on Ruby's statement making Oaks Day ensemble? Rate it? Or hate it?

2011 Crown Oaks Day: Jennifer Hawkins

Jennifer Hawkins has added to the femme-factor at today's Crown Oaks Day at Flemington, taking Rebecca Judd's lead with a girly makeover for the occasion. Jen placed her bets with Toni Maticevski with this one sleeved, asymmetrical number. As Bella said, it's unusual for the Myer face to buck tradition and go sans-headpiece, but with that feathered shoulder detailing perhaps it was a smart move. Her simple nude platform heels and unfussy accessories kept the look in check. So c'mon, spill! Do you like, loathe or sit somewhere in between on her pastel get-up?

2011 Crown Oaks Day: Rebecca Judd

What a 180 Rebecca Judd has done in the last two days! The Myer racing ambassador swapped the sass & bide acid brights that she wore on Cup Day for demure neutral tones for today's Crown Oaks Day. She opted for a cream and gold, embellished bust dress from Fleur Wood, accessorizing with nude peep toe heels and a burnished feather and leaf headpiece. The look? Floral, femme and perfectly suited for the Ladies Day dress code. What's your call?
