François Nars is a man of many talents. As well as creating a beauty brand that's turned into a worldwide phenomenon — largely down to his multi-award-winning Orgasm Blush — and seen him able to buy his own small island in the South Pacific, he's secured a spot as Marc Jacobs go-to runway makeup artist and is a pretty ace photographer. Yep, what initially started as a passion soon turned into him shooting his own advertising campaigns (he still does to this day) and launching a photography book, X-Ray, in 1999. His striking images mean that he's regularly called upon for his skills behind the lens. His latest project is a stunning editorial spread of German model Toni Garrn in Vogue Japan.
