Kate Middleton and Prince William got in the St. Patrick's Day spirit when they attended a holiday parade in Aldershot, England, yesterday. The Duchess stepped out with a fresh look for the celebrations, switching up her signature bouncy blow dry for an elaborate woven up 'do. It was the perfect style to sit under her black hat, not that we're looking at anything other than that baby bump. Click through to zoom.

2011 was a big, beauty-filled year for former The Hills star Lauren Conrad. Not only did she launch The Beauty Department, an online resource for all things beauty, but she also announced plans to create a cosmetics line and pen a beauty book. When it comes to her own personal version of beauty, she plays it quintessential Californian girl — long, ombré locks that she recently streaked peach, often styled into a range of braided hairstyles. In honour of her 26th birthday today, we're taking a look back at 10 of her best braided 'dos — got a fave?
We thought (ok, hoped) Kate Middleton might change up her beauty and fashion style for the North American tour, but not only have we seen her don an elegant up 'do, whaddya know it, yesterday at the Province House in Charlottetown she pulled another hat out of the bag. Kate's hair was brushed back into a pony tied in the middle of her head, with her long locks left flowing in barrel waves, complete with a small strand of hair wrapped around the base acting as a hairband. While she's continued to work her signature makeup routine — rosy cheeks, check, brown eyeliner, check, pale pink lip, check — we loved seeing the Duchess' hair in this relaxed, low-mainty style. You, too?
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge kicked off the first leg of their North American tour, arriving in Canada late last week. Kate's been looking fresh-faced and relaxed while attending functions and events with Prince William and we were chuffed to see her change up her hairstyles a little. Our top picks were the gorgeous half-up, half-down softly curled style with tiny tortoiseshell clips at the crown of her head, and the relaxed up 'do with height at the front and combed back with loose curls pinned in. Check out Kate's Canadian style and let us know — which is your favourite look?
We do love a good beauty face-off and we haven't had one for a while — not since Leighton and Gwyneth at the Country Strong screening. And what a way to kick off 2011 with a battle of the Aussies in the form of the two stunners Abbie Cornish and Rachael Taylor, sporting teased up do's and neutral makeup. Abbie's gone for a little more height at the front, teamed with brown smoky eyes and a soft pink lipstick, whereas Rachael's hair is more slicked back and she's all bare-faced and gorgeous with just a subtle eyeshadow and a dash of gloss. Is it just me, or do they look almost exactly the same? I'm stumped, so I'm turning the tables to you. Who wins?
Kate Walsh arrived at Legion's Sundance Film Festival premiere looking enviably glam-casual, not a look that's easy to pull off. With understated makeup and a sweet, messy bun, she looked both effortless and elegant at the same time. It's the perfect look for Valentine's Day and we've got the how-to. Keep reading . . .
