This Week's Top 5 Celebrity Beauty Looks
This week, many stars set out to show us exactly how to do the bared-faced look right. Taylor Swift looked stunning at the American Music Awards, mainly because her skin was smooth, evenly-toned and glowing all night — it's the kind of natural look we're always striving to perfect, and we've found a product that lends a helping hand. Hayden Panettiere showed off a punchy coral lip colour that we fell head over heels for (Kate Bosworth's a fan, too!), while Victoria Justice, pictured above, reminded us of the power of a good, highly-pigmented lip gloss. Bella Review: Waterproof Mascara That Keeps Lashes Soft
Waterproof mascaras can be a girl's best friend or her worst enemy. Sure, they stay put all day and don't melt down your face (if you're lucky), but they can also leave you with dried-out, flaky lashes. But somehow Stila has given these major mascara faux pas the one-two punch. Stila Stay All Day mascara (approx $24.40) clings to your lashes for hours while leaving them soft and supple. No crunchy, spidery eyes here.
Not only does the mascara stay budge-proof from morning to night, it brushes on without any clumps. The triangular brush also lifts and lengthens, leaving you with lashes that frame your eyes in a glamorous, flattering way. Sound too good to be true? There is a small downside; the wand traps a lot of the product, pulling more out of the tube than you need. This can lead to a messy application if you don't wipe the excess off before you swipe it on. But for long, thick lashes that last and last? We'll take the extra step.

Max Factor Workshop #5...How-To: Remove Waterproof Mascara

Often manufactured with some traces of soft surfactants, animal-derived, vegetal-based or mineral-origin waxes and thickening polymers, or a certain type of dimethicone to lock pigments into place, just about every kind of makeup from brow enhancers to mascara to foundation has its waterproof counterpart.
While they’re for colder weather, hitting the beach or watching a chick flick, many often find waterproof mascara a little tricky to remove. Instead of turning to your usual cleanser which easily removes non-waterproof mascara, you’ll need to use an actual eye makeup remover to dissolve the formula, according to Katherine Conyers , National Max Factor Makeup Artist. Apply some to two cotton pads and gently press one over each eye. You’ll want to place it actually on the lashes, instead of over the eye socket, and then press gently to allow the eye makeup remover to work its magic. Be careful not to rub, however, you could lose precious lashes that way and irritate the sensitive eye area.
