Slipping your feet into sandals and thongs in the Summer is reason enough to keep up with your pedicures. Don't skimp on your feet up-keep once the temperatures cool, though. "Caring for your feet in the Winter is very important because heels can thicken and crack," says Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi, co-director of the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery in Washington DC.
"Those cracks can become painful and infected if left untreated." Getting a weekly pedicure would be choice. But if you're looking for something a little more wallet-friendly, there are plenty of at-home procedures for those looking to smooth out their soles. "Use a thick moisturiser containing urea or glycolic acid under socks at night," Dr. Tanzi says. Layer on a lotion like Kiehl's Imperial Body Balm ($54) all over your feet, and slip on your favourite socks before bed. Dr. Tanzi also suggests exfoliating with a pumice stone, or using a similar dead-skin-removal method, once a week in the shower. Your feet may be stuffed into your warmest boots, but they'll be healthy enough for a spur-of-the-moment trip to the Caribbean. Hey, it could happen.

It's nearly time to up the ante in your skin-moisturising regimen, but instead of getting new products for the cooler months, try reaching for a night cream for daytime skin relief.

If Winter called for an official pick-me-up treat, it might just be fairy floss. When it comes to this spun-sugar confection, its traditionally pastel hues are the perfect inspiration for some pretty sweet makeup looks. For a playful style that suits most, pair candy-toned lipstick or gloss with a bright blue eyeliner. To get an edgier look, use a smudgy black eyeliner instead. And for an everyday style, go monochromatic with pink on the eyes, cheeks, and lips; just be sure to add dimension with a medium to dark brown mascara and eyeliner. So think pink, and shop the above products below:

There were an abundance of stylish head-toppers at Sundance this year (aka the coldest film festival around) making it the perfect place to look for Winter style-spiration. One look that stood out was the knitted headband seen on Jamie Chung. Practical and chic, these types of hair accessories are a great way to let your personality shine through.
