While we're starting to see the latest looks from the Spring/Summer 2012 shows dropping in stores, we, the beauty obsessed here at Bella, are most excited to find out how the hair and beauty looks from the runways will translate to the streets. One of our favourite hairstyles came in the form of twists thanks to Redken's hair director, Jon Pulitano, at Akira's private Spring/Summer 2012-13 showing at the Art Gallery of New South Wales recently.
"Looking closely at Akira’s collection I realised just how involved his work is yet he executes to make it appear seamless," says John of the woven twist he created. "The challenge was to create something that looked simple, natural and beautiful without revealing how complex it was, much like Akira's design process. Drawing from this I created a key look which also translates to each story told within the collection."
