It was a busy Saturday night in NYC for plenty of stylish celebrities, with many hitting up more than one party on the night. One of the most star-studded events of the evening was stylish Harry Josh’s inaugural #HarrysParty, which drew the likes of Miranda Kerr, Teresa Palmer, Kate Bosworth and Rachel Zoe. A solo Miranda looked sexy in a sheer polka dot shirt and leather skirt ensemble and carried a clutch that resembled a F. Scott Fitzgerald book. She mingled with industry friends and made a few new ones, as well. Kate and Teresa showed PDA with their respective partners Michael Polish and Mark Webber. There are heaps of celebrities in NYC at the moment ahead of tomorrow’s Met Gala, which is expected to have Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lawrence and more as guests.
Last night, Bono co-hosted a Coachella party that drew stars from John Legend to Joe Jonas. Bono's clothing company, Edun — which he co-founded with his wife Ali Hewson in 2005 — teamed up with Diesel to throw their Studio Africa soiree on the first official night of the 2013 festival. The brands launched the Studio Africa project this year as an effort to spotlight fashion, music, and other arts from the continent.
Solange Knowles played DJ for the night at yesterday evening's bash and Congolese-Belgian musician Baloji performed for the crowd. While plenty of the attendees — including John Legend — have a musical pedigree of their own, plenty of actors and other celebrities hit the party, which was held at a private estate in La Quinta, CA. John and his fiance Chrissy Teigen were spotted hanging out with stylist Brad Goreski, while Kellan Lutz, Teresa Palmer, Joe Jonas, and Mad Men's Jessica Paré rounded out the VIP crowd. Check out all the fun pics!
Zombies have been invading movies and televisions for decades, but few if any of those films or shows have examined what it's like inside the minds of the undead — which is part of the reason why Warm Bodies offers a fresh take on the genre. The comedy centres on R (Nicholas Hoult), a young-looking (and, frankly, kind of cute) zombie whose mind is still intact, even if his memories and motor skills aren't. When R meets Julie (Teresa Palmer) during a routine flesh-eating fest with his fellow undead, he feels a sudden desire to protect her. And what unfolds is a tender love story that, believe it or not, is also relatable.
Warm Bodies solidifies Hoult has what it takes to carry a film, injecting just the right amount of charisma and comedy under all of that zombie makeup. What R lacks in verbal communication he makes up for in witty internal monologue, sharing the trials and tribulations of eating brains with the audience and reminding himself not to be too creepy around Julie. Julie herself is understandably hesitant to believe R's grumbles that he won't hurt her but soon becomes intrigued with how gentle he is — not to mention his surprising amount of nostalgia for records and other artifacts that he collects. Translation: he's a zombie hoarder. The pair actually connect in a way that feels authentic and fun to watch. It's basically a combination of Beauty and the Beast and Romeo and Juliet, but with a lot more laughs.
To see what else I liked about Warm Bodies, just keep reading.
Teresa Palmer is the heroine of Warm Bodies as Julie, one of the few humans still standing after a zombie apocalypse. When she falls for R (Nicholas Hoult), she begins to take a different view of the undead, much to the chagrin of her zombie-hunting father (John Malkovich). I sat down with Palmer to discuss how much she loves her "sassy, feisty" character and how she personally relates to Julie. She also shared her excitement about working with Malkovich, saying that she felt like she was in acting school having him on the set. Warm Bodies hits cinemas on Apr. 11.

This week in the world of celebrity social media, the stars were sharing their cute candids during moments of work and play. Guy and Jules Sebastian celebrated the first birthday of their adorable son Hudson, while Lara Bingle did a Wing Walk — walking on the wings of a plane while it’s in flight — with the support of Max May. Teresa Palmer took a dip in a pool with some great photo opportunities, and Jennifer Hawkins, Charlotte Dawson and Alex Perry bonded on the set of Australia's Next Top Model.

It's no secret that Teresa Palmer and her very gorgeous bestie Phoebe Tonkin are two Aussies taking LA by storm. The pair advocate clean living, and even moderate a website dedicated to health called Your Zen Life. It was only a matter of time before the beauty world came knocking to learn more about Teresa's secret to flawless skin and natural approach to makeup and cleansing (she loves using sweet almond oil as a makeup remover), and much to our delight, Into The Gloss profiled her over the weekend. Read the highlights below, but be sure to check out the entire article and snoop her poolside beauty shoot as photographed by Emily Weiss.
- On face oil: "I'm using avocado oil, which also helps get rid of redness or any little dots. Or if you've got a pimple, it gets rid of the scars. It's great."
- On event ready eyes: "And if my eyes are still puffy after I clean my face with cold water, I'll get caffeinated tea bags, soak them in water, freeze them, and take them out 15 minutes before I’m doing my makeup or getting it done for an event."
- On dark circles: ". . . I get quite dark circles; it's hereditary. I've tried to fix it with my diet — adding things to my diet, taking things out of my diet, different makeup and face creams, whatever — but it is, unfortunately, something I have to live with."
Zombie romantic comedy Warm Bodies premiered this week, and PopSugar US had the chance to catch up with all the film's major players — including Australian actress Teresa Palmer — at a recent press day in LA. See what the stars had to say about playing the undead (or wishing they did), what they love about zombie movies, and, most importantly, how they'd survive a zombie apocalypse.
Two major events (and a couple of smaller ones) made sure all of our favourite celebrities were on high rotation this week. At Monday's SAG Awards in LA, a bevy of Hollywood glamours stepped it up as they hurtle towards the end of the awards season. Marion Cotillard's sleek bob was perfectly coifed, as ever, and Rose Byrne knocked our socks off with a neon-meets-pastel pink lip. The night before, Jessica Alba stepped out with newly lightened locks (half of them, anyway) and a pop of candy pink on her lips. Meanwhile, here in Australia, our top actors and the like attended the AACTA Awards — but it was the hair and makeup on the red carpet that really stole the show. There's a lot to see this week, so start clicking through now!
From Annabella Barber and Miranda Kerr's beach holidays to Lara Bingle's red-hot evening with Dior and a glam night for Phoebe Tonkin and Teresa Palmer, it was good-looking week in the world of celebrity social media snaps. We also got to see a pretty, private pic of Alexandra Agoston, Jessica Gomes with some seriously cool nail art and Coco Rocha working a new sass & bide cape, as part of her new gig as the face of the iconic Aussie brand. That's not even close to all of the pretty fashion and beauty action we saw from our favourite cool people this week — click through to check the rest of the envy-inducing pics!
