The cast of Arrested Development were joined by their significant others and a few famous friends when they hosted the premiere of their series' new Netflix episodes in Hollywood yesterday. Portia de Rossi cuddled with wife Ellen DeGeneres on the orange carpet, and the duo chatted with Portia's co-stars at the event. Meanwhile, Jason Bateman brought his wife, Amanda Anka, to the bash, and David Cross posed with his spouse, Amber Tamblyn. Aubrey Plaza dropped by the premiere's after party and talked with friend and The To Do List co-star Alia Shawkat, who also posed alongside Michael Cera. One celebrity who wasn't at the premiere was John Krasinski, who will reportedly have a cameo in Arrested Development's upcoming episodes. No details have been revealed about John's guest appearance, but fans will be able to find out soon enough when all 15 episodes of the show hit Netflix on May 26.
David Beckham brought his sons, Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn, to watch as ice hockey team the LA Kings defeated the New Jersey Devils in game six of the NFL finals to win the Stanley Cup on Monday night. The four Beckhams hooted and hollered in the stands each time the Kings scored a goal, and in between all the action, snacked on nachos. David has become a regular in the stands at the Staples Center, having cheered on the team all season. He's in good company when it comes to supporting the hometown hockey squad. Will Arnett, Alyssa Milano, Zac Efron and Ellen Page all turned out as well. Zac Efron had rink-side seats to witness the historic victory, as it's the first time in the Kings' 45-year existence that they've clinched hockey's top honour. It was a night with the guys for Zac, who officially split from Lily Collins recently. Will is a Canadian by birth, but clearly is a hockey fan no matter where he lives.
The second annual Comedy Central Comedy Awards took over NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom Saturday night with big names in the funny business stepping out for the show. Amy Poehler, in a bold Black Halo dress, posed with her husband Will Arnett on the red carpet before she picked up the statue for best TV comedy actress for her work on Parks and Recreation. Maya Rudolph and her Bridesmaids co-star Kristen Wiig were both honoured, with Kristen winning for best comedy screenplay and Maya and the rest of the cast landing the title of best comedy film. Other stars, including Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, Chevy Chase and Tracy Morgan, took the stage to present.
InStyle hosted another of its famous post-Golden Globes bashes at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last night! As always, the magazine gathered some of the biggest stars from TV and film. Will Arnett and Amy Poehler joked around on the party's red carpet, while Sofia Vergara prepped to celebrate Modern Family's best comedy series win. Rachel Zoe wore a dress from her own collection to mingle with friends, and Orlando Bloom threw an arm around his Dolce and Gabbana-clad wife Miranda Kerr on the way inside.
Miranda and Orlando didn't have projects in the running last night, but they had plenty to toast anyway — Orlando had a birthday Friday, and Miranda was just named a new celebrity ambassador for Qantas Airways. They had plenty of famous pals to share Moët with last night, including Kate Beckinsale, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Zooey Deschanel, as well as other Globes winners, like The Help's Octavia Spencer, Boss' Kelsey Grammer, and Luther's Idris Elba. To see photos of them all en route to InStyle's bash, check out our gallery.
The ladies brought the fierce fashions on to the red carpet at last night's Met Costume Institute Gala in NYC, but the men were responsible for looking hot in their tuxes. Many guys, like Jay-Z, Tom Brady and Orlando Bloom, were one half of a hot couple, but others such as Chace Crawford and Matthew Morrison were rolling solo. Sweet Bradley Cooper, though, brought his mum! There was a lot of hotness to appreciate from the men, so click through to see who turned out for one of the style world's biggest nights!
The same guys who brought us the Ice Age franchise are back to create another potential hit with the 3-D CGI Despicable Me. Seems like every animated movie nowadays wrangles A-list names, but the Despicable roster is even starrier than most. Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Will Arnett, Kristen Wiig, Mindy Kaling, Jack McBrayer—it's like a laundry list of my favourite funny peeps. And while I sort of wish we could see them all acting together in the flesh instead of just lending their voices, their involvement really has me hyped. The story follows the world's No. 2 villain Gru (Carell) on his plot to steal the moon—a plan that gets thwarted by three little orphan girls who challenge his evil ways when they want him to be their dad. Too ka-yoote! Check out the trailer and tell me: see it or skip it?
Last night's Emmy Awards was full of pretty ladies and gorgeous guys, but the real hotness was centred around the evening's loved-up attendees. Longtime couple Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon showed sweet affection that rivalled Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer's newlywed glow. Amy Poehler and Will Arnett brought lots of laughs, while host Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy didn't stop smiling on their way in. Neil Patrick Harris had David Burtka by his side, and Emily Blunt was there to support her new husband John Krasinski. Geoffrey Arend gave cute compliments to Christina Hendricks, Heidi Klum's main man Seal joined her on the carpet, and Elisabetta Canalis cuddled up to honoree George Clooney backstage. These pairs are some of our favourites, and now we want to know—which duo is your top pick from the big night?
Jimmy Fallon provided lots of laughs and tunes at tonight's 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards while TV stars graced the stage in gorgeous gowns with great-looking guys. Between the fun star-studded opening (that was Kate Gosselin getting dissed, BTW not Sophie Monk) and Jimmy's farewell to 24, Lost and Law and Order, he kept the show rolling as we eagerly awaited George Clooney's humanitarian moment. Big winners of the evening including Modern Family, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad.
It was date night for January Jones, who sat in the front row with Jason Sudeikis, Anna Paquin, who held on tight to her husband Stephen Moyer, while presenting with Alexander Skarsgard, as well as for George Clooney who had Elisabetta Canalis by his side backstage. Costars Tina Fey and Steve Carell bonded even though neither of their shows was recognized this year. Betty White continues to be everywhere and after a hilarious dance opening with Jon Hamm, the two presented the first award of the evening. Eric Stonestreet, Jane Lynch, and Kyra Sedgwick were some of our favourite winners of the night. Kyra took home the Emmy for lead actress in a drama after being nominated for five consecutive years! Will Arnett was quite the lucky guy this evening on the red carpet at the Emmys in LA. He and wife Amy Poehler welcomed their second child just three weeks ago, and today is actually their seventh wedding anniversary! The happy couple posed with Will's co-star in the upcoming series Running Wilde, Keri Russell, who didn't have her own hot husband Shane Deary on her arm. Both Amy and Keri looked amazing, but let us know what you make of their ensembles in Fab and Bella's polls!
