Did Tropfest Winner Animal Beatbox Seem Kinda Familiar?

As most of you are aware by now, Australian TV and film actor Damon Gameau won this year’s Tropfest Film Festival with his animated short Animal Beatbox.

As most of you are aware by now, Australian TV and film actor Damon Gameau won this year’s Tropfest Film Festival with his animated short Animal Beatbox. It seems he impressed the judges (and most of you) but to others his work seems unoriginal. YouTube member Eustus Comedy commented under the video, “is this a rip off of my video????” in regards to his Dog Cat video that was posted back in September. Tropfest founder and judge John Polson defended Damon and addressed the originality issues, saying, “It doesn’t surprise me there are other clips combining animals and music. It wouldn’t surprise me, either, if there were similar clips for every one of the finalist films. Comparisons are easy to draw with the explosion of footage on the internet, accessible by fingertips worldwide.” We’ve put the two videos side-by-side so you can compare for yourself. What do you think? Has Animal Beatbox ripped off the Dog Cat video (albeit in a more colourful way)?

Miley Cyrus Addresses Rumours in a Ten Minute Video

She may have deleted her Twitter account, but Miley Cyrus has taken to another form of social media to send a message of thanks to fans and address rumours.

She may have deleted her Twitter account, but Miley Cyrus has taken to another form of social media to send a message of thanks to fans and address rumours. She obviously thought there was a lot to catch up on—her video message on YouTube is almost ten minutes long! She says, “It’s important for me to be able to contact my fans directly,” instead of having to go through publicists. Rumours she addresses: no, she’s not engaged or getting married any time soon (“I don’t need any type of commitment”); she’s not living with on-again boyfriend Liam Hemsworth; she didn’t get arrested for driving while talking on her mobile (it was the paparazzi’s fault) and no, she doesn’t want a boob job! Oh, and she does love her fans. So if you’ve got ten minutes to spare, watch it for yourself in the vid.

Must Have: A Little Turquoise Box, Please.

Have you checked out the latest Tiffany & Co.

Have you checked out the latest Tiffany & Co. Give Voice To Your Heart video ad? It literally brought tears to my eyes! Featuring Tiffany favourites Shalom Harlow, Sasha Pivovarova and Liya Kebede, the video takes you on a romantic journey to see how the ridiculously good looking celebrate a white Christmas. Incredible! I've seen it over ten times now and still keep noticing glimpses of new jewels I'd like to steal (who doesn't want to play the piano in diamond drop earrings?).

Highly recommended viewing! And don't forget, you can shop for your very own turquoise box easily online!
